Mr. Mavis was a student of Wing Hon Fu in Aylmer Quebec Canada. Later Mr. Mavis became a student of Mr. Carver in Ottawa Canada to learn Muay Thai and other martial arts. Mr. Carver was a 3rd degree ITF black belt in Tae Kwon Do who switched over to Muay Thai and taught through the Ajarn Chai Thai Boxing Association and the Dan Inosanto family tree. Thanks to Mr. Carvers Thai boxing academy, Mr. Mavis was introduced to Thailand and came on an "academy trip" to train and fight muay thai in the country of the arts origin. At the culmination of his trip, Mr. Mavis won his first muay thai match with a 180 side piercing kick to his opponents torso (body knockout). Mr. Mavis returned to Canada but shortly after decided to move to Thailand to open the first ITF Tae Kwon Do school in the country and to pursue a career in movies. Mr. Mavis is currently working in movies and training under Sifu Mc Innis at South East Asia International School of Martial Arts in Shaolin Kenpo while running his school in Bangkok.
